KV-LITE TEX COAT is an advanced water-based, post-treatment flame retardant engineered to deliver long-lasting fire protection for a wide range of porous and absorbent materials. Its deep-penetrating formulation bonds with the cellular structure of the substrate, creating a durable protective layer that helps delay flame spread without affecting the material’s appearance or structural integrity. When applied correctly, treated natural and synthetic fabrics can achieve a Class A fire rating, while porous woods such as pine and Douglas fir can achieve a Class B fire rating. The non-toxic, non-combustible, non-carcinogenic, and PBDE-free formulation is safe, user-friendly, and can be easily applied by spray, brush, roller, or immersion.
